Following the introduction of the Government sponsored microgeneration scheme in April 2010 with Feed-in-Tariffs (FiT), solar panels have been erected out of sight from the road, on the roof of 31 Derby Road by Southern Electric Contracting Ltd. Reading Council kindly issued a Certificate of Lawfulness to record this project. The payback period is expected to be around 10-11 years with an annual return of around 9% on the investment. A few photos follow taken during construction plus one of the circuit diagram. Robseal Roofing checked, repaired and cleaned the roof prior to installation. Do contact Laurie or Jean - by email or call at the house - for any details that interest you.
