Please be advised of the following events that QAS are going to hold throughout this academic year. We welcome the early notification to make residents aware of some potential noise disruptions.
Please note that QAS have also invited residents to their Christmas Market on the 28th November. (see fuller details below).
Message from QAS re works on 19-20 December Derby Road gates - Peppard Road end
Just some advance notice of some work to the front gates of the school, which will have a knock-on effect to the use of the back Holmes House gate on Derby Road.
We are having the main gates sandblasted and painted on 19th and 20th of December. The site will be quieter during the holidays but there is still a need to have separate entry and exit gates whilst the work is done.
Therefore, we will open the gates where the pedestrian access is as an entrance into the school on Henley Road. We will open the double gates at Holmes as an exit, as the Henley Road pedestrian gate is quite narrow, and the crescent by this gate is very tight, so we need the one-way system.
We will open the pedestrian gate and Holmes gate at 6am on 19th & 20th Dec and lock them at 10.15pm on 19th Dec. The work should be completed by the close of 20th Dec, but this may create some additional traffic at the Peppard end of Derby Road for a few days.
I am sorry in advance for this, but it is essential that the work is complete in this two-day slot.
